Flooding in SE New South Wales

As NSW residents start returning to their homes for the first time after the July floods they are faced with the reality of post-clean-up.

Today our team partnered with Living Hope Church Camperdown to provide much-needed emergency flood relief to the flood victims. Living Hope was able to assist with door-to-door support with the Australian Army and Air Force offering supplies in Windsor. Our team took food supplies out to the most recent flood areas in the Hunter region.

July 7, 2022 | 5:30 p.m.

Today our team was on the ground evaluating the needs of the local community.

As the heavy rain continues to move up towards the mid-north coast, almost 43,000 people are returning to their homes in Sydney to begin the very long clean-up post flood.

July 5, 2022 | 2:30 p.m.

Our team is monitoring and evaluating the current flooding in South East New South Wales.

Government officials in 23 LGAs have declared these floods a natural disaster, with 102 evacuation orders currently in place. Approximately 50,000 residents are affected by the rising water, which forecasts say will not fully recede for at least a week.

The spill rate from the Warragamba dam had fallen from a high of 515 gigalitres – equivalent to one Sydney Harbour – a day on Sunday afternoon to 380 on Monday.
